This includes compliance processes, extensive client and product training and most importantly – end to end sales training. Our aim is to ensure new representatives display confidence and knowledge prior to representing their brand.
The business adhere to legislation specified in the Australian Consumer Law and complies with all industry requirements. Extensive training, scripting and reviews of all sales calls ensure our teams are meeting best practises.

Darren is the Chief Executive Officer of the Smart Group and has a wealth of experience in outsourced Contact Centres and Field Marketing. Over the last 21+ years Darren has created, built and managed virtual and on premise contact centre solutions across the Asia Pacific Region and National Field Sales teams for a number of global brands, working across most industry sectors – Energy, Travel, Pay TV, Telecommunication, Finance, Health, Security, Automotive & IT.
Darren has a wealth of experience and a history of providing high volume, sustainable growth in a compliant environment across a number businesses.
Jonathon is the Chief Financial and Compliance Officer for the group and has over 19 years’ Financial and commercial management experience across a variety of industries including Technology, Energy, Retail and Telecommunications.
Jonathon has held CFO positions in ASX Listed public and private companies including management of start-up businesses.
Holding a Bachelor of Business (Major in Accounting) from Victoria University, Jonathan and his Finance team are members of the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants.
Umut is the General Manager Contact Centre and IT Services with over 18 years’ entrepreneurial and corporate experience spanning Sales, Operations and Customer Advocacy across Telecommunications, I.T. and Energy.
Umut has led high performance teams in both contact centre environments (offshore and onshore). He has also held senior positions ranging from General Manager through to Director’s role across a number of key businesses, specialising in performance improvements and building new business through engaging and effective leadership.
Tom has been in the IT industry for over 20 years and has been an integral member of The SMART Group IT team for the last 9 years. Tom works closely with clients from campaign inception through to implementation and upgrade processes. His innate understanding of technology and its application to contact centre and field sales environments ensures SMART is able to remain competitive and innovative in our approach to client solutions. This includes large scale CRM and IT infrastructure implementations for a variety of clients and campaigns.
Tom has a bachelor degree in Applied Science (Geomatics) from RMIT University.
Having worked as a human resources practitioner in the retail, professional services and banking industries, Ashley brings broad and extensive HR expertise to The SMART Group. Ashley’s experience as a HR generalist includes leading HR teams and has resulted in a varied skill set including talent acquisition and retention, performance management, strategic planning and award & industrial interpretation.
Lewis has been employed with The SMART Group for over six years. During this time he has held senior sales management positions in both our Energy and Telco campaigns across Victoria, Western Australia and Queensland. Lewis also possesses extensive experience in the recruitment and training of sales agents and his unique combination of skills and experience has resulted in him being a very hands on effective leader.
Having worked in the industry for over 10 years, Scott has an in-depth knowledge of Contact Centre Operations, specialising in outbound sales. His ability to effectively build relationships with a variety of clients and translate that across the business drives all outbound sales campaigns within The SMART Group.
